Since 1987, Mike and Sandy Tobin have been actively conducting pilgrimages to Medjugorje, a small village located in Bosnia-Hercegovina. Thousands of pilgrims have traveled with them. They have visited Medjugorje over 120 times, and provide the best pilgrimage experience combining hands-on humanitarian work with an opportunity to spend time with visionary Vicka, and participate in the spiritual program in Medjugorje.

The history of the apparitions of the Blessed Mother in Medjugorje ("between the mountains") began in 1981. On June 24, 1981 at 6:00 pm, six children saw a beautiful young woman holding a child in her arms. The woman later identified herself to the children as the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Queen of Peace. The Blessed Mother told the children, "I have come to tell you that God exists."  The Blessed Mother has given given messages for the world on the 25th of each month for 28 years.

The six visionaries who have seen the Blessed Mother say that she appears to be about nineteen years old.  She is extremely beautiful and has dark hair with blue eyes.  

Our Lady's message throughout the 28 years is about peace.  She urges all people to reconcile with God and with each other.  She said she has come to bring the world back to her Son Jesus.  Our Lady urges us to pray, attend Mass, confess every month, fast on Wednesday and Friday on bread and water, and pray the rosary every day. 

Three of the visionaries (Ivanka, Mirjana, and Jakov) no longer have daily apparitions.  Ivanka, Mirjana, and Jakov received ten secrets from Our Lady.  The rest of the visionaries received nine secrets and continue to have daily apparitions.

Vicka Mijatovic was born in 1964 and is the oldest of the six visionaries.  She has received nine secrets from Our Lady, and continues to have daily apparitions.  Vicka is married to Mario and has two children. 

Sandy and Mike have known Vicka for many years, and have become very close to her family.  Vicka has hosted Pilgrims' Peace Center pilgrimages in her home for years, and tirelessly spreads the message that Our Lady gives her.

Mirjana Soldo was born in 1965, and is married to Mark Soldo.  They have two daughters. 

She is the most educated of the visionaries, having graduated from the University of Sarejevo.  Her daily apparitions stopped on December 25, 1982.  She was the first visionary to receive the ten secrets.  She has apparitions of Our Lady on the second of each month.  Mirjana's mission is to pray for unbelievers.  Mirjana will reveal the ten secrets to a priest, Fr. Petar Ljubicic, ten days before the events occur.  

Ivanka Elez was born in 1966.  She is married with three boys and one girl.  

She is the quietest of the visionaries and rarely gives interviews.  Her daily apparitions ended in May 1985 when the Blessed Mother gave Ivanka ten secrets.  She has apparitions once a year on June 25th. 

Ivanka will appear at the 16TH Annual Prayer for Peace Conference in Clearwater in November 2010.

Ivan Dragicevic was born in 1965, and is married to an American woman. They have three children and live in Boston.   As a teenager, he thought his vocation was to the priesthood, but was rejected by the seminary.  

Ivan continues to have daily apparitions of Our Lady. He  travels throughout the United States and other countries spreading the Blessed Mother's messages.  

Marija Pavlovic-Lunetti was born in 1964 and is the visionary who receives the monthly messages from Our Lady for the world.  

Marija is married with four boys, and lives in Italy with her family. 

She travels to other countries to speak about the messages of Medjugorje. Our Lady gave her the mission to pray especially for souls in purgatory.  She has received nine secrets from Our Lady, and continues to have daily apparitions.  

Born in 1971, Jakov Colo is the youngest of the visionaries.  He was married in 1993 and has one boy and two girls. He and his family live in Medjugorje. 

Jakov received the tenth secret from Our Lady in 1997 while visiting the United States. 

He has an apparition once a year on Christmas Day.
